our adoption policies

If you are thinking about adopting one of our Parrotlets, please read carefully. 

Much love, time, and money have been put into raising these little gems, and finding them their safe, loving, forever home is our goal. Most babies are ready for adoption at 12 weeks to 16 weeks. 

Our available Parrotlets are reserved on a first come first serve basis. If you reserve a Parrotlet, the deposit is 50% of the purchase price with the remaining balance due prior to pick up. We accept deposits via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. Prior to pickup, we will send a payment request for the balance of the Parrotlet and any supplies you may have added. Once a deposit is placed, it is NON-REFUNDABLE unless something happens to the Parrotlet in our care (in which case we will refund your full deposit). The deposit put down will hold the Parrotlet that you selected but is nontransferable to a different Parrotlet. Please be very sure that you are committed to the baby you have chosen! Why are deposits non-refundable? Because once you have committed to a Parrotlet, we have taken that baby off the market and have held it just for you. If you decide to change your mind that baby may have lost its opportunity at a wonderful home during that time, and a family may have missed a chance at a Parrotlet that they really wanted. 

All of our Parrotlets are healthy to the best of our knowledge. We practice routine sanitation and cleaning of all housing. We will never sell a Parrotlet, under any circumstances, that is under age or ill. Parrotlets are very delicate and sensitive, and for this reason, we do not offer a health guarantee once they leave our home. We do send you home with detailed instructions and go over their care to the best of our ability with you. We are not liable for any incurred vet bills and will not issue any refunds should your Parrotlet become ill after he/she leaves our care. 

We have 25 years of experience in determining the genders of babies, but even the most experienced breeders have made mistakes from time to time, as mutation varieties can be complex and unforeseen. For this reason, we do not guarantee the genders of our Parrotlets but rather give the highly likely outcome to you.

If you have reserved a Parrotlet, you will have a pickup window (3-4 days) during which your baby is ready to go home. If you fail to pick the Parrotlet up during this time, we will hold the Parrotlet for up to 1 week as a courtesy with a boarding fee of $10.00 per day. If you still don't show up to claim your baby for any reason past that courtesy period, then your baby will be re-listed at that time for adoption, and you will forfeit your deposit. 

At our discretion, we reserve the right to refuse a sale to any individual or cancel a sale at any time and refund your deposit to you. Parrotlets are non-refundable or exchangeable.
